Palace Parade Review

In The King's Garden

The splendour of the Palace’s Great Fountain Garden will be complemented by magnificent marching bands doing what they love to do, marching and playing music! The colourful uniforms, music and marching formations combine to represent a proud heritage of culture and tradition.

Starting on the East Front Lawn the marching bands will commence (step-off) at timed intervals and will parade for 10 minutes each in the garden. At the halfway point (the fountain ‘D’ at the front of the baroque palace façade) each band will halt and play a favoured piece of music whilst facing the Long Water, after which they will then march to the finish line and proceed back to the East Front Lawn.

Over 700 musicians will be on parade, featuring the All-American Collegiate Honour Band; Burgess Hill Marching Youth; Gordon’s School Pipes and Drums; Kingston & Malden Scout and Guide Band; Marching Scarlet Knights; Pride of Dayton Marching Band; Surbiton Royal British Legion Youth Marching Band and The Corps of Drums of His Majesty's Royal Marines CTCRM.
